Embracing the Journey: Meet Flora, My Photography Companion

Hey there, fellow photography enthusiasts! Can you believe it's been a wild ride since 2017? Let me take you back to where it all began. Picture this: I'm buzzing with excitement, brimming with ideas for my Christmas minis. But there's a catch – I didn't have a camper. Yep, you read that right. Fast forward to 2018, and boom – I finally pull off my first Redneck Christmas Minis. It was a blast, but something was missing – that adorable little camper to tie it all together.

So, what's a photographer to do? Cue Facebook. I put out a call, hoping to snag a camper for my next adventure. Lo and behold, a local angel pops up, offering their camper that happened to for sale. Talk about fate! That first year with the camper was pure magic, but I'll admit, I barely knew the seller. Come year two, I set my sights on finding something a little cuter – enter the Hoffmans and their gem of a camper. From Redneck Christmas Minis to summer glamping sessions, we were unstoppable from 2019 to 2021.

But as they say, all good things must come to an end. In 2022, the Hoffmans had plans for their camper, leaving me in a bit of a pickle. I scrambled to find a replacement, but let's be real – it just wasn't the same. That camper added a little sprinkle of magic to my sessions, and I was gutted to miss out on Redneck Christmas Minis in 2023. Heartbroken and determined, I vowed to make 2024 the year of redemption.

Enter Travis, swooping in with an unexpected proposition: buying their camper. My first instinct? Nope, not happening – without consulting my husband first, mind you! But with three kids and homeschooling duties on my plate, I had to weigh my options. After spilling the beans to my husband, he didn't miss a beat – "Let's get it." And just like that, the camper became ours.

Flash forward a few weeks, and the camper is officially part of the family. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am for the adventures that lie ahead. From storage for my props to endless photo opportunities, the possibilities are endless. And what better way to kick off this new chapter than with a blog post dedicated to my little camper?

I'll be documenting the remodel journey right here, so buckle up and join me for the ride. Oh, and one last thing – I originally christened her Betty, but with the direction we're headed, Flora just feels like the perfect fit. So, without further ado, say hello to Flora, the newest star of my photography escapades.

Get ready, folks – it's going to be one heck of a ride!
